SICIM has announced that it will develop the Pipeline Onshore FEED for the “Mozambique Rovuma LNG Phase 1” project.
The works have been commissioned by Subsea7 as part of ExxonMobil’s development plan, one of the most significant energy initiatives in Africa. The FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) engineering tasks pertain to the onshore section, located approximately 125 miles north of Pemba, in a region crucial to Mozambique’s energy industry development.
SICIM will be responsible for several key operations, including process engineering, pipeline engineering, technical safety, and piping engineering for the launcher/receiver area. Additionally, the company will oversee the necessary civil engineering infrastructure. In partnership with RINA, SICIM will also handle environmental engineering tasks, focusing on the assessment of the project’s impacts and its effects on sensitive areas, such as alluvial zones.
