Nuberg EPC has secured the EPC contract to deliver a 120 TPD Chlor-Alkali expansion and an 80 TPD Calcium Chloride Plant for Al Ghaith Chemical Industries LLC at Sur Industrial City, Oman.
This development marks Phase II of Al Ghaith’s integrated chemical complex in Sur and represents Oman’s first large-scale Chlor-Alkali expansion — reinforcing Nuberg EPC’s role in advancing the Sultanate’s industrial transformation and chemical self-sufficiency. Executed on a Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) basis, the project scope includes Design, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, Commissioning, and Handover. Work is already underway, with completion targeted in 19 months, underscoring Nuberg EPC’s agility and delivery excellence.
In Phase I, Nuberg EPC successfully commissioned a 70 TPD Chlor-Alkali Plant, establishing Al Ghaith’s production footprint in Oman. The new 120 TPD expansion increases total capacity to 190 TPD, significantly strengthening the country’s downstream chemical value chain.
Nuberg EPC and Al Ghaith Industries share a longstanding partnership built on technical capability, precision engineering, and timely execution. Across Abu Dhabi, this collaboration has delivered several benchmark projects, including a 60 TPD Chlor-Alkali Plant later expanded to 120 TPD, a 125 TPD Calcium Chloride Plant, and a 50 TPD CO₂ Plant. These achievements highlight Nuberg EPC’s ability to deliver complex and high-value process plants with world-class reliability.
Nuberg EPC also holds a strong execution legacy in Oman. The company previously expanded a 45 TPD Chlor-Alkali Plant and delivered a Greenfield 80 TPD Calcium Chloride Plant for Oman Chlorine in Sohar, boosting the total chlor-alkali capacity to 75 TPD. This established track record further underscores the significance of the new Al Ghaith project and Nuberg’s continued leadership in Oman’s chemical manufacturing sector.
