Saipem has secured two new contracts, one offshore in Ivory Coast and another onshore in Italy, with a combined value of approximately €800 million.
The first contract, awarded by Eni Côte d’Ivoire and its partners, is for Phase 3 of the Baleine project, the latest development phase of the Baleine oil and gas field located offshore Ivory Coast in water depths of up to 1,300 metres.
Under the contract, Saipem will undertake the engineering, fabrication, transportation, and installation of approximately 50 km of rigid pipelines and associated subsea structures. The scope also includes the transportation and installation of flexible risers, flexible jumpers, subsea production systems, a 3 km flexible gas export flowline, and 22 km of subsea umbilicals. The project is expected to span approximately three years and will utilise the construction vessels FDS and Shen Da.
The second contract, awarded by Enilive, Eni’s company focused on the production of biofuels and biomethane, as well as the marketing and distribution of energy solutions for mobility, covers the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a new deoxygenation unit at Enilive’s biorefinery in Porto Marghera, Venice.
Designed to process 70 tonnes per hour of biogenic feedstocks, the new unit will enhance the production capacity of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) biofuel. This award further strengthens the ongoing collaboration between Eni and Saipem in the biorefining sector and follows the EPC contract awarded in June 2025 for the biojet production project at the Venice biorefinery.
These latest contract awards reinforce Saipem’s capability to execute complex engineering and construction projects across both conventional energy and energy transition sectors. They also strengthen the company’s long-standing partnership with Eni while supporting the development of strategic energy infrastructure and sustainable fuel production.
