Wison New Energies has signed the EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning) contract with Eni and Altera Infrastructure for the Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility for the Baleine Phase 3 offshore oil and gas field in Côte d’Ivoire. The award extends Wison’s involvement in the project from the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase through full EPCIC execution, highlighting its integrated project delivery capabilities for offshore developments. The contract also marks a significant milestone in Wison’s growing FPSO portfolio.
The Baleine Phase 3 project is being developed by Eni in Côte d’Ivoire, with Altera Infrastructure serving as the owner and operator of the FPSO facility. Altera Infrastructure also played a key role in Baleine Phase 2, supporting the redeployment of the FPSO and FSO.
The FPSO facility will operate in water depths ranging from approximately 800 to 1,200 meters. It is designed to process up to 90,000 barrels of oil per day, 80,000 barrels of produced water per day, and 160 MMSCFD of natural gas, with an operational design life of at least 20 years. The unit will measure approximately 308 meters in length, 57 meters in breadth, and 29.8 meters in depth. Once operational, the FPSO will serve as critical infrastructure supporting the efficient development of offshore oil and gas resources in the region.
“This contract underscores the confidence of international clients in our engineering capabilities, project execution, and supply chain management,” said Ms. Cheng Yuanyun, CEO of Wison New Energies. “Wison will leverage its mature project management framework and integrated delivery capabilities to ensure the successful execution of the project.”
Building on the Baleine Phase 3 FPSO project, Wison New Energies aims to further strengthen its EPCIC expertise in the FPSO sector while delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable offshore solutions that support global energy development and the transition toward a lower-carbon future.
