Wood has been awarded two five-year framework agreements by Equinor to deliver maintenance and modification (M&M) services, as well as large-scale modification projects, for offshore installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) and associated onshore facilities.
Under the agreements, Wood is expected to provide M&M services for the Snorre A and B platforms, which play a key role in Norway’s oil and gas industry. Wood has been supporting these assets with maintenance, repair, and modification services since 2016.
In addition, Wood has been pre-qualified to bid for forthcoming large modification projects across offshore installations on the NCS and onshore plants. These projects will focus on extending asset life, enhancing production efficiency, and reducing environmental and climate impacts.
Equinor retains the option to extend the agreements by a further three and two years, allowing the contracts to run for up to ten years in total.
Steve Nicol, Executive President of Operations at Wood, commented: “These framework agreements demonstrate our shared focus on safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Our long-standing partnership with Equinor spans Norway, the UK, and Brazil, where we support their global portfolio through our engineering and operational expertise. We look forward to building on this experience and applying our continuous improvement mindset to optimise performance and extend asset life across Norwegian assets.”
The work will be carried out by Wood’s Norway-based teams, supported by the company’s global engineering network.
