Sapura Energy Berhad (SEB) has announced that its subsidiary, Sapura Energy (Thailand) Limited (SETH), has been awarded two major offshore contracts in Thailand worth over RM500 million. The scope includes an offshore installation and removal campaign, as well as subsea inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) services.

The installation and removal contract, awarded by Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Ltd. and Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd., is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026 and will be executed by SEB’s Engineering & Construction team. SEB has a strong history in Thailand’s decommissioning space, including a pioneering Rig-to-Reef project in 2020 and recent success in pipeline removals using the reverse S-lay method.

The subsea IRM works were awarded by PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) for saturation diving operations under the G1/61 and G2/61 projects. These are being handled by SEB’s Operations & Maintenance division, utilizing the Sapura Constructor vessel, with full diving support and accommodation for up to 120 crew.

SEB Group CEO Muhammad Zamri Jusoh stated, “These wins strengthen our long-term collaboration in Thailand and reflect our focus on projects that align with our risk profile, technical strengths, and asset deployment efficiency.”
