TechnipFMC has secured a major integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (iEPCI®) contract from Vår Energi for the Ofelia and Gjøa Nord subsea developments in the North Sea.
The award builds on a five-year strategic collaboration agreement signed in 2025, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to accelerating subsea project delivery through TechnipFMC’s integrated iEPCI® execution model.
Commenting on the award, Jonathan Landes, President – Subsea at TechnipFMC, highlighted that Vår Energi’s portfolio-based development strategy in the Gjøa area is designed to shorten project timelines and enhance project value. He added that TechnipFMC’s integrated execution approach enables the close collaboration needed to achieve Vår Energi’s goal of delivering first oil within two years.
