Arkad SpA has announced the signing of a major contract for the Phase 2 Development Project of the Hassi Bir Rekaiz (HBR) Field in Algeria. The project has been awarded by Groupement HBR, the joint venture between Sonatrach and PTTEP.

The award further strengthens Arkad SpA’s long-standing presence in Algeria, where the company has contributed to more than 30 projects over the past five decades. The latest contract highlights Arkad’s continued growth in the region and reinforces its position as a trusted EPC contractor in the energy sector.

The scope of work includes the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of a Central Processing Facility (CPF) designed for the treatment of crude oil and associated gas. The project also covers off-plot pipelines, utilities, and related infrastructure required for the field development.

The project will be executed through a consortium led by Petrojet, a well-established contractor with extensive experience in large-scale energy projects and strong operational capabilities in the region. The total contract value is estimated at approximately USD 1.1 billion, with Arkad SpA’s share valued at around USD 500 million.

This latest milestone reflects Arkad SpA’s continued commitment to supporting Algeria’s energy sector through engineering expertise, operational excellence, innovation, and a strong focus on safety standards.
